Thirteen schools, and what two of them actually look like

The programme targets 65% rural and 35% urban schools across Zambia and Malawi. Two sites in Itezhi-Tezhi District have been surveyed in full — the numbers below are theirs.

Napakwe and Nanungwe Primary Schools

Both began as community schools and were taken onto the government roll within two years. Both are still teaching out of a single mud-and-pole block.

Napakwe Primary School

Shambala Zone, Shambala Ward, Chief Shezongo’s chiefdom, Itezhi-Tezhi District · 121 km from the District Education Board Secretary’s office

Established in 2019 as a community school, converted to a government school in 2020.
